January 2010  - Village of Manorhaven Rain Gardens. RDA has been selected by the Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District to design a series of rain gardens and develop a new landscape aesthetic for Manorhaven Blvd. and Shore Road in the Village of Manorhaven, Long Island, NY.



October 2009  - Vistamor @ Montgomery. RDA is working with the Montgomery Group LLC in developing a new landscape aesthetic for a planned age 55+ community in Montgomery, NY, near the Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center. Work will include the development of the clubhouse and recreation area, community streets and entrances, residential landscaping and wetland enhancements.



July 2009  - Fenwyck @ Blenheim. The RSLA office and Tom Retnauer, Architect, have been tapped by the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) to develop a 288-unit luxury rental community in Chesapeake, VA. RSLA is preparing the project Master Plan and will provide landscape and amenity design services on the project. Click here to view the Master Plan.



July 2009  - Greentree - Whitney Estate. RDA is working with GC Contractors of NYC on the renovation of the existing parking court at the Main House of the Whitney Estate, in Manhasset, NY.



June 2009  - Farmingdale Library Reading Garden. RDA is working with Beatty Harvey & Associates, Architects, in developing a new children's reading garden and revised side entrance to the Farmingdale Library.



May 2009  - Suffolk County Skilled Nursing Facility. RDA has been retained by the Baldassano Group to redevelop the front entrance and courtyard at the Suffolk County Skilled Nursing Facility in Yaphank.



November 2008  -  Green Parking Design for Lindenhurst Memorial Library
RDA has been selected to develop and design a new "green" parking design for the Lindenhurst Memorial Library. Elements will include permeable paving, rain gardens, solar lighting and recycled construction materials.




August 2008  -  RSLA on the Fort Lee, VA Chapel Design team
RSLA is an integral part of the winning design team lead by Retnauer Design Associates, PC Architects, to develop a new multi-denominational chapel at Fort Lee, VA for the Army Corps. of Engineers. RSLA will provide Site/Civil Design and Landscape Architecture services for the project.



August 2008  -  RDA on the SUNY Stony Brook Civil Design teams
RDA has teamed with Sidney Bowne & Son and Nelson & Pope Engineers, both of whom were chosen to perform on-call civil design work at the Stony Brook and Southampton campuses of SUNY Stony Brook. RDA will provide Landscape Architecture services for both teams over the next 5 years.



July 2008  -  AvalonBay Communities @ Garden City, NY
RDA has commenced with the landscape development for a new luxury apartment community on the site of a former US Navy housing base. Amenities will include a clubhouse, swimming pool, outdoor kitchen, tree-lined streets and walks and lushly planted courtyards and building entries.



June 2008  -  RDA collaborates with EEA at Arverne Park in Brooklyn, NY
RDA has joined the EEA team in developing construction documents for bidding on an ecologically sensitive oceanfront site in Brooklyn, NY. RDA's responsibility includes preparing grading plans and site construction details.




May 2008  -  Herricks School District Bond Referendum Passes
McDonald & Monterose Architects in collaboration with RDA, will commence with plans for a new running track at Herricks HS as well as site improvments at other school sites in the District after a bond referendum was voted on and passed by the comunity.




March 2008  -  RDA relocates NY office
RDA recently purchased and moved into a new office - just 3 blocks from our former location. Interior renovations are underway...



November 2007  -  RDA awarded SCCC fields renovation project
Suffolk County Community College has selected RDA to prepare plans and specifications to renovate natural turf athletic fields at the Grant campus in Brentwood, NY. Work will commence immediately and plans will go out to bid in late-winter 2008.



October 2007  -  Southold Library team awarded new addition & green roof project
Architect Gary Jacquemin's team has been selected to provide a new design for an addition to the Southold Public Library. RDA will be providing landscape design and green roof expertise on the project. Click here to see a rendering of the proposed project.
